Mancala

When my kids were younger, we played board games quite frequently. Every once in awhile my first born and I still play a card game that we love. But other that than, they have about outgrown games to my great sadness. After dinner every so often while everyone is doing their respective after dinner chores, I'll ask my son if he wants to play a game. He usually says no, but tonight to my delight, he said yes! He said, I want to play that marble game. He went off to locate it while I stood there finishing the dishes thinking "We don't have Pente." LOL He came back with Mancala. We haven't played in so long and the instructions are no longer in the box that I had to look them up on the Internet. Dontcha just love the Internet!? (Notice that I have reminders drawn on the board about which direction to go. I also have each respective 'cala' marked on the proper side.)
We had a great time. And the instructions are printed off and safely in the box in case it's months again before we play, but I hope it won't be.

Gosh, too bad we don't live closer to each other, I love to play board games! And card games. I am not competitive and don't care if I lose, I only play for the fun of it!

Oh my gosh, I forgot all about Mancala, we used to play ALL the time when the kids were younger. It's probably still in the closet with the other games collecting dust. We might have to dig it out now. I will also have to look up the instructions online. Fun, fun, fun!
